This gives the cookies much more fiber, which is important to conteract the sugar! I had a few goals in mind for my final oatmeal chocolate chip cookies: 1 - they had to be quick and easy to prepare2 - they had to be full of that earthy oatmeal flavor3 - they had to be SOFT and CHEWY4 - they had to be packed with chocolate chunks5 - they had to be the best oatmeal chocolate chip cookies I had ever tasted.
