Our student’s diverse backgrounds, based on parent expectations, involvement, relationships, influences their suggestions. The male security guards were sketchy, majority of the faculty cared more about dress code than they did about the students learning. I found Berkley to be a very diverse and unique school. High school also went well at Lakeland. Griggs International Academy was such a great experience. They have, however, increase lunch time which I appreciate eventhough I no longer go to the school. The teachers really care about our kids.

Like any other school district, things are not perfect. I have found a really amazing social environment here where everyone is not very judgemental at all. There is cultural diversity because of an international student program and students attending from across metro Detroit. No doubt this is one of the best schools on the District or even the State. As the environment is very competitive, it often pushes one to be the best version of themselves. I do wish for the facility to be improved a bit and more passing time between classes. The public schools in Oakland County belong to Bloomfield Hills Schools. It is not elitist. Many of the schools maintain an active and fun school culture. Hopefully that will lead to better lunches, equipment, and teaching methods. The administration staff is awesome-they relate well to and are respected by the students.

We do not have a gym and the room we use as the gym is also the lunchroom. Clarkston is a great school district. There are also many opportunities for students to volunteer around the communities such as working events hosted by the Orion Township Public Library, child care at PTO and parent university's, spring fairs and many other activities. There are many events hosted by the high school students that involve middle schoolers and elementary schools. The teachers are very approachable and also accessible. As president of our NHS chapter, I have had the distinct honor of working with a diverse group of students and appreciate different perspectives. I was a transfer student, and everyone was genuinely kind and went out of their way to make me feel accepted and included. The teachers in the Royal Oak School District have helped shape me into who I am today. Language classes and music are also part of the engaging atmosphere at these schools. All of my teachers have made school engaging and taught me a great deal to help me transition into college. My experience has been GREAT! Schools take part in spirit weeks, have fun rivalries, and take pride in their sports teams (even if they’re not the best). The teachers are AMAZING the play ground was never boring... AND THE SLEDDING was amazing! I had even better teachers there and had a great time.
Yes, the small class size allows this type of interaction and, yes, we do have to pay tuition. At first, I was shocked by the difference in culture, rules, and overall how schooling was run.
