I don't really remember many things out of it, but I have it at a 4. Genres: Progressive Rock, Art Rock. I am glad I dragged you away from your piano to complete this very well-written piece. It's incredible. Recent scene of a little run of rock band + orchestra events. After two fairly tepid albums (Exotic Birds & Fruit and Procol's Ninth), the band returns to the rich, creative melodies with orchestral colorings featured so prominently on 1973's Grand Hotel. Featured peformers: Gary Brooker (vocals, piano), Matthew Fisher (Hammond organ), Robin Trower (lead guitar), David Knights (bass guitar), B.J. LIVE IN CONCERT WITH THE EDMONTON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA. Rated #154 in the best albums of 1967, and #7346 of all-time album.. Will revisit for sure. Review Summary: The last (nearly) great Procol Harum album. Nevertheless, what I just want to add is that Procol Harum amazes me as one of the most consistent art rock groups in history - for years, they've been pumping out album after album, quite a lot of which either are masterpieces or come close; loss of key members like Fisher or Trower didn't really have any serious impact on the individual talents of Brooker as a composer or Reid as a lyricist.
