Which ever place you choose do yourself a favor and take a evening ride trough some of the National forest. wonderful staff, friendly helpful and patient. The ducks and geese would swim upstream, then float back down on the swift current. They were very friendly and can be reached at any time. The yearly visit of those ants during this month is over; we finally got a very sophisticated insecticide for this particular type of water ants, so we are not missing them! We were attending a wedding in Blue Ridge on Friday night and decided to make it a family weekend. A great place to relax. See you next one! Everyday they opened the dam everyday for 5 to 7 hours a day and the water was to swift to fish. We only use Mountain Paws Cabin Rentals when we stay in this area as we have filtered thru some "other" rental companies. My only suggestion is that a railing needs to be placed on the wall to the downstairs suite area. The crystal clear river, the flowers, the full yard - all the best. The cabin is one of the best weve stayed in for location; however, it would be beneficial to have a king size bed in the master for more couples comfort. Wi-Fi was never a problem and the TV satellite was never a problem. Very well equipped house! As always, Ana was first-class with everything! I dad all of my family with me, kids and grandkiddos and of course, Oscar. That was the only downfall. The stairs are quite steep and a railing would give you that extra feeling of safety. The cabin is really nice and clean. We will definitely rent it again ! On Saturday night we went to the Blue Ridge Brewery for a casual meal. It’s a little dark. One thing I would recommend is bringing along some extra trash bags and dishwasher soap when you come so you don't have to buy any while you are there. The location is amazing, and cabin is perfect! The river was high and fast most of our trip so the fishing wasn't ideal but the home was great for all of our daily outings to the state parks and Helen. We are always so happy to have you with us! The cabin was very clean, the best stocked we have stayed in, we felt comfortable from the moment we walked in the door. Flexible and accommodating. She came to our rescue late one night after we accidentally deadbolted the door with the keypad. Same thing on the top of the mountain. Plenty of space for bigger families or multiple families.
