The more I studied on my own the more I started to see that I did not see in His Word the same things that others were seeing and started to write about what I was finding. Repeatedly, the “seed” is identified as Israel’s “king,” who will sit on the throne of His father, David (see 2 Samuel 7:12-16; Psalm 2). Circumcision identified the Israelites as physical descendants of Abraham, gave them a sense of national identity, and set them apart from other nations of the world. And, if you belong to Moshiach (YESHAYAH 53:10), then you are of the ZERA of Avraham Avinu, you are yoreshim (heirs) according to the havtachah (promise). Interpreting itself, the Bible shows that the singular "Seed" of the woman is indeed the Messiah, Jesus Christ. With Abel came the hope that this “seed” might be the promised deliverer. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. St.John 8:33-38. Anointed One; the Messiah, the Christ. As we will see, this promise speaks of the geopolitical advantage God later gave Abraham's descendents. Even when the term “seed” was applied to the Messiah alone, the descriptions of Him seemed contradictory. Jesus is our King we can live in His Kingdom RIGHT NOW!! But the blessing or cursing of God is based upon the individual’s response to the “seed.”, (14) The Israelites were wrong in failing to understand that the promised “seed” was coming to save men from their sins, not to reward the self-righteous who believed they were saints.94, (15) Israel’s greatest error was in failing to recognize the Lord Jesus Christ as the promised “seed,” and rejecting and crucifying Him at Calvary.95. Also you will find some chapter by chapter bible studies I have done. The Messiah, an epithet of Jesus. Just as many were astonished at you, My people,97 so His appearance was marred more than any man, and His form more than the sons of men. Abram means “exalted father;” Abraham means “father of a multitude.” Sarai’s name was changed to Sarah (“Princess,” see 17:15). If the promise had been fulfilled before the giving of the Law, and if the Messianic dispensation to which the Apostle and his readers belonged was not a fulfilment of the promise, then the Law might have had something to do with it: the restrictions of the Law might have come in to limit and contract the promise: the Gentiles might have been saddled with the obligations of the Jews. He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. I am now ready to start proving it and that is what I will be doing from here on out. One wonders what the angels must have thought as they observed God’s promises concerning the coming “seed,” yet witnessing the incredible ability of man to endanger the “seed.” Consider the way in which the theme of the “seed” is developed in the Book of Genesis. The blessings of the Abrahamic covenant are promised to the “seed” of Abraham, and every one who trusts in Jesus Christ is one of Abraham’s “seed” (see Romans 2:28-29; 4:1-17; Galatians 3:29). Paul, "the apostle to the Gentiles" (Romans 11:13), carries the thought to its conclusion when he asserts that the line demarcating Jew and Gentile disappears in Christ: "[T]here is neither Jew nor Greek; . In Romans 4:13, Paul makes plain that this second consequence of being Christ's also pivots around faith: "For the promise that he would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith." The Truth truly does set one free from the searching and the divisions of the traditions of man!! Elsewhere, this same “seed” is described as the suffering Servant of God: Behold, My servant will prosper, He will be high and lifted up, and greatly exalted. All through the Old Testament, seemingly impossible barriers to the coming of the promised “seed” were faced and overcome. The Old Testament reveals increasingly more detail about the “blessings” of God and the “seed” of Abraham. Rebekah: (Genesis 25:21), Judah: (Genesis 38) 7 the apostle has affirmed that they who are of faith are sons of Abraham; in ver. There, not surprisingly, he represents her as his sister, just as his father Abraham had done before him (26:6-11). This was a type of Abraham's spiritual descendants inheriting the earth. I believe God protected the male line, assuring that only those men in the promised line were to be fathers of the promised “seed.” The Gentile women who were included in the line were all women of faith, and thus, from a New Testament point of view, of the “seed” of Abraham (Galatians 3:29). 87 See Matthew 22:23-33; John 18:36; Hebrews 11:13-16. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants and heirs according to the promise. It includes justification by faith, being part of a spiritual nation, and eternal life. Philippians 3:1-11. A promise. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise.
